Hi,
I have "had" CTS for approximately 18 years. I had it in both hands, but after having surgery on my right hand in 1984 I changed jobs to something easier on the hands. I still wear splints every night, but for the most part my symptoms are in abeyance and I only notice some minor swelling and soreness if I really abuse my hands.
My question is this: My thenar muscles are still kind of wasted--my right hand in particular. I was never given any exercises or anything after my surgery. Is there anything that can counteract this atrophy, or is it just something that will always be with me?
Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!
