: i've run through my options; surgery is now the only answer for me. my questions is this: which is the best type of doctor to do the surgery, a neurosurgeon or an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in hand surgery? Dear Kathy: I justed Had surgery for CTS on my left on Friday Morning it was not that bad at all the surgery I had instant relief of symptoms I still need my right done and I strongly strongly recommend a Nuerosurgeon for the best result possible. Good Luck. Michele
