: Having surgery on my right hand on 3/16. What is disturbing is that i am not in pain at this time - some numbness and aching but not real pain although I have had severe pain at times. I had an emg and my right hand rated 8.7 and the left at 2.4 - I'm not exactly sure what this means but the dr. said the 8.7 required surgery to prevent further damage to the hand. Can anyone help out. sr
They're alot of money hungery orthopods out there.......beware!This is a very simple surgery of which many orthopods. make alot of money. If I were you I would find an orthopod. that does hands only these guys are the experts and will usually treat this conservitavely because they are aware of how delicate of a procedure this really is.I had this done 1 year ago by one of the bad ones and will be paying for it the rest of my life with pain and a permenently damaged hand and it turns out I really didn't need the surgery ..I hope you don't take this lightly......BEST OF LUCK........TIM
