Originally I was diag. with Epstein Barr virus, then Chronic Fatigue Syndrom, Then Rheum Arth, then a new Dr. took away the idea of Rheum Arth. and said I have Fibromyalgia, now the Caropal Tunnel.

I had my EMG last week and go back to my Neurologist on the 12th to see what her recommendations will be. The Dr. who did the EMG has already told me that I have severe CTS (Carpal Tunnel Syndrome) in the right and moderate in the left. For me the EMG was very difficult, especially the needle part. It is still very tender to the touch and still swollen. I also bruised.

Are you working outside the home?

I told my employers about the diagnosis of CTS. I am almost constantly on two computers all day. I know that this is work related. How do I prove it? My employers have not done anything about re-adjusting my work station to accommodate my needs. Which, by the way is my right and their responsibility. I am wondering about Work. Comp.? How does it work? How long is the recovery time after surgery? I don't think I can return to my same job after surgery. How do I get retrained for a new job. Is that Work. Comp? I was really encouraged to hear that someone else has arthritis and CTS.

Thank you for sharing your story. Anyone who can help please reply to: Lisa @ BlessingTwo@aol.com Thank you.
