i was diagnosed with CTS in december, 1999 (severe). After interviewing several surgeons, I chose a surgeon who specializes in "hands" only. It is important for you to research the surgeons and ask as many questions as possible to get a comfort level.

i had very successful surgery march 01, 2000 and all the pain is gone. i was told by a number of surgeons that there is the possibility of permanent nerve damage by NOT having the surgery. i wish you the best of luck. if you have any questions, please do POST them and i will try to answer them the best I can.
