Wendy,

I have two children, a four year old son with cerebral palsy and a normal 5 1/2 month old.

Some things that we noticed that "tipped us off":

My son's legs are VERY stiff. When I would change his diaper and lift his legs, he would be so stiff only his head was touching the floor.

He was not reaching for or grasping toys placed in his hands.

He constantly thrust his tongue in and out of his mouth.

If you are not receiving immediate attention and effort from your doctor to discover if your son has this condition, you need to find a new doctor. If your son does have cp, the faster you can get him into physical therapy, the better off he will be. Feel free to write me if you wish.
