Hi, I am the mom to 4 /12 year old Erin. Erin has moderate spastic diplegia. She walks with a walker, talks, (lots of articulation therapy!) and does well. She has not made much prgress in PT lately due to VERY tight hamstrings and adductors. We want to move her to crutches but she is too tight in her legs and doesn't yet have the balance. Her tightness is really slowing her down. Her Drs. have given us a RX for oral baclofen. I dropped it at the store about four months ago but I am afraid to give it to her. Her trunk is a little mushy and I am afraid the med will make it worse. Also, she is so bright and spunky, I want to keep her that way! The idea of such a heavy duty med scares me. I'm afraid she will get groggy. Any experienced parents out there? Would love to hear from you! Please feel free to email me directly.
Thanks,
Chris cmdmatth@gateway.net
