I can relate to your little sister. Just about a few months back I was in the hallway in my high school and three boys came beside me. I don't know if they were trying to be funny or mean, but they kept putting their feet infront of my wheels and stopped my wheel chair when I was trying to get into the gym for my PE class.

Later that afternoon, when I got home, I told my mom and my older sister that I had trouble in school. One of the things they told me was always try to be the stronger person. So that the other person will feel the lesser person later.
