my 15yr old daughter had tendon release surgery when she was 10 x-rays showed her right hip joint was malformed ie socket was flat and ball was mis-shaped.Up until surgery she was walking since she has been confined to a wheelchair. She is on contiuous pain relief and after seeing a consultant today the only thing he can suggest is surgery to remove the head of the femur. He has said she will probably still be in pain as well as having a shorter and floppy right leg. Has anyone had any alternative surgery to correct this problem? Or has anybody heard of another procedure?
