: Has anyone out there been in this situation???If you have any words of wisdom please contact me. Thank You

As your son's advocate, you should be upset but this is a time to have an IEP or m-team meeting at school to outline methods of preventing any accidents in the future. Please don't think I seem calous when I don't join you in your ire at the school.Yes, they should have called you imediately -do you have a special note on his health card concerning his special needs. You see my daughter has cp and epilepsy and she falls often even with a walker. I don't want them treating her like a fragile doll because that isn't a "normal" life. At an m-team meeting we (teachers and parents)all agreed that she did need someone to walk with from class to class. Even with these precautions she fell outside on the parking lot and loosened 2 teeth and scraped up her face and had 2 stitches. Yes, they did call me as well as my husband at once or I would have been as upset as I'm sure you were. Try not to keep talking about it at home so that he doesn't feel caught in the middle. Just continue supporting him as I'm sure you are.Good luck!
