: I have a 28 year old brother who has had several problems all his life. For some reason or another, my parents never persued a diagnoses when he was young.(military health care issues) He has always protected his left side and held his hand funny occasionally, has a catract in one of his eyes since birth, and has several learning disabilities. He gets fired or quits every job he has had after a few months. My mom said that he had a seizure when he was newborn and I know she had some problems with him during and after birth. I am thinking that he may have CP or something similar. We would like to get a proper diagnosis, but health insurance is a problem. Does this sound like CP, or am I really off base with my thoughts? I would appreciate any feedback on this. I really want my brother to get the help he needs.
: Thanks

I have a 6 year old brother that has CP and from what I can tell I don't think your brither has CP. People with CP are very spastic. Their muscles are extremly tight. Form what I can tell you brother might have some sort of syndrome. I have a 10 year cousin who has red syndrom and she has seizures often, she always holds her hand, her lips are loose so it lets spit come out, and she is always very flexible. I think you should consult a Doctor about this sickness. You can get financial help from many places. Good Luck!!
