The info. I have may not be much but I felt I needed to try and help. In Ohio we have a Bureau for Children with Medical Handicaps(BCMH or crippled children's) You have to apply for it and it will give the child medical coverage pertaining to her condition. The guidelines concerning assets and income are more lenient than SSI. I would also check your local United Cerebral Palsy organization for any funding or help on where to get it. I understand being in that position. My husband made too much to receive SSI also. It is disappointing I know.My only advice would be to exhaust every method, and in those times when he is laid off apply for SSI again. I wish you all the luck!!! I hope this helps in some way.
