I've enjoyed reading through the message board - noticed lots of questions and very little offered for solutions. I am a caregiver with 5 months experience. I care for a lady 76 years of age who is non-verbal, also,in her youth, education was not an option. During my short exper. with her, I have worked at educating myself on how to communicate. I'm looking for a picture board. Where do I find one. HERE'S A TIP FOR ACTIVITIES: I got my "boss"involved in meals on wheels. We deliver meals every Monday. This is something she looks forward to. She calls it her "job". I'm thrilled that this activity makes her so happy. So now plays an active roll in the community. I'm the driver and actually walk the meals to the doors. She remains in the car as she is wheelchair bound. This has brightened "E"'s life a little. PLEASE SHARE YOUR TIPS ON MESSAGE BOARD - - I want to learn.
