: My girlfriend, age 29, has only one problem re CP: she has no balance when in an upright position. Therefore, she uses crutches for mobility. Recently she was told that, as she ages, she will no longer be able to be mobile on crutches and will be required to use a wheelchair on a full time basis. Does anyone know if there is any medical validity to this prognosis? Thanks a lot!
MY BOYFRIEND ALSO HAS CP WITH THE EXACT SAME THING. HE HAS A BALANCE PROBLEM. BUT IF YOU LOOK AT HIM AND HE DIDNT HAVE HIS CRUTCH YOU WOULD NEVER KNOW ANYTHING WAS WRONG WITH HIM.. A FEW WEEKS AGO I HAD THE SAME QUESTION..DOES IT GET WORSE WITH AGE??/ I WOULD BE INTERESTED IN TALKING WITH YOU THROUGH EMAIL....PLEASE EMAIL ME AT FLOYDKDS@YAHOO.COM.....THANK YOU
