I am 23 with mild cerebral palsy on my right side. I have recently gotten a mold done for an AFO on my
right leg. I have never had an AFO before. I can't walk heel toe with my right leg, and my ankles and
knees go in when I walk. I also have very weak ankles. I have been told by several people that an
AFO may cause more problems with my walking success. I teach and often go home "dragging my
right leg behind" me because it is so fatigued. I am hoping that an AFO will help to improve my gait and
reduce my fatigue. Have adults/teens not having AFOs as a child
then getting AFOs as an adult seen success with them? Please share any experiences that you have.
