I have a 7 year old who has not yet been diagnosed with CP, her ortho doctor thinks she has CP but it has not yet been confirmed. One of her legs is smaller than the other one and it is difficult for her to bend her foot up. She did toe walk for a while (which I didn't think anything of it since I had seem many children do it, my mistake)but since getting her heal lift (1cm) she is not using her toe as much. I have read that by not using her heel when she walked that it could make the leg smaller, but will it always be this size, won't it grow? Can it catch up to the other leg? Also, since this is caused by a brain injury most likely before, during, or right after birth how hard is it to sue your Doctor/Hospital?
