My daughter was born 3 months early. She was diagnosed having Cerbel Palsy. While staying three months in the hospital, to gain about 4 pounds and to be able to breathe by herself on the phone, Doctors told my husband and myself the worst. They told us she might not walk, talk, or anything realy. She is 7 now in a regular second grade class, not only walks but runs, rides her bike for about a mile. She's a great little girl. I 've been through alot with her and doctor's nurses, schools etc. I've learned alot from Reyna. She's a very strong and motivated little girl. One thing that has helped her out was getting her into school at a very young age. She also has done therapy for about 7 years. We just celebrated on 9-8-00, a kind of Graduation from therapy. She's reached Goals and expectations that the therapist and myself had set for her. She on a home program, doing exercises while playing. She did have the Botox injection and the castings done. I know that helped her out alot. Before the injections she use to stand on her tippy-toes. NOw she stands all the way on her foot.
