: This subject interests me. My son is 12, and I can't seem to find anyone to help me with his problems. I've been told by some Dr's that he has mild CP, but others have just said that he is clumsy. I think that it's true that it never gets worse, but I don't think his is getting any better either. As he ages, it becomes more apparent that "something" is not quite right. He didn't walk on his own until 17 months. I am at my wits end. He was in leg braces for a while...I am divorced, and not getting much support from his dad. He wants to pretend that nothing is wrong....Any advice???
Let me tell you I have a son at 14 still not yet diagnosed. He walked at 13.5 months and fell all the time straight on his head.Never caught himself. He has had multiple problems, and I too cannot get a doctor to tie this in a knot for me...I need this done for school, and other things.Ignore your EX cause you are his mother and you know when your child is just not right..Keep up the good work. I was told a developmental pediatrician would be the one to see. Also a neurologist, if you have not done this yet..GOOD LUCK! JEAN
