: my daughter is 11 and she to is very thin..she also does not walk..i dont kow that if it the cp that causes her to be thin but i have observed other children similer to her that are also very thin...

My son has cp also and he is extremely thin at only 31 lbs. He is much smaller for his age. His younger brother weighs 45 lbs. I have noticed that the kids with cp in his school are much thinner than those without. I spoke with my son's doctor and he said it has to do with his level of spasticity. He said he burns calories all day. I feed him at least 6 times a day just to keep his weight at the level it currently is. His doc also keeps him on a higher caloric diet due to this.
