: My son Jon was diagnosed in April 17, 1996 with early Pre-B ALL and has been in remission since. He was 4 years old at the time. I am a nurse and have done research in this area (mostly
: childhood cancers) and feel that our environment may be a big reason or contributing factor in leukemia. I understand that virus may also play a role, electromagnetic fields, pesticides, etc which all are environmental to some degree. I wrote a post on the leukemia board for children's ALL and the post was removed by AOL. Here is the version (edited somewhat). The reason for it's removal was because it was "off-topic". I am sorry to say I have
: seen other boards with swears, vulgarities and hurt feelings which are allowed? Is it due to a political affliation/opinion of mine? My request to you and other cancer survivors is to petition your candidates and senators to work toward an environment free from pollutants which it does not take a rocket scientist to see the increase in illnessess including asthma.
