Hi,

I have a five year old that is having some difficulty defining personal space. We recently had a little girl and moved and I wondered if his need to hang on and hug other children is a sign that he is having troubles adapting. He is a very affectionate and loving child but I have observed him in his new kindergarten and he seems to not pick up on when others do not want him to touch them. He also seems to need to at least have his hand on another childs leg or shoulder. We have been trying to give him plenty of affection at home but he still seems to have this needy demeanor in his Kindergarten class. I would appreciate any advice about how to help him be less touchy.
