Please help! i have a three month old about to be vaccinated and is on neocate for severe food allergies. anyone delay vaccinations due to childs sensitivity? any problems with vaccines? thank you!!!! please email me at email@example.com
: : : No it did not really help my daughter any because after the first couple of weeks she refused to drink it. It taste horrible. And I saw no improvement really anyway after 3 months so they took her off of it. She lost weight on the neocate and her stomach symptoms did not really improve at all..The Rice dream Rice Milk worked wonders for her.
: : : They said she had food allergies and reflux maybe and I dont think they knew for sure..She had Endoscopys,Colonoscopies,Phenumograms, Acid PH Studies, Sleep Studies..You name it.
: : : She had diarehhea and some nasuea and spitting up, and she had rashes, and she could not sleep through the night without waking up screaming....
: : : Today she is a happy healthy 7 year old and my 4 year old did the same thing went through the same tests, but she still has stomach problems at this point in her life...
: : : Best of Luck to your sister and the baby and you too..
: : : take care Betty
: : My son has been on Neocate One Plus for 3 years. He was diagosed with Celiac Sprue. The Dr. at Children's Hospital in Omaha suggested a gluten free diet and that is why they put him on Neocate One Plus. He immediately started gaining weight and the other symptoms were less bothersome. The formula is very expensive however it heps my son. The flavor we have been able to get it i is and orange-pineapple type flavoring. He loves it. Maybe you ned a more accurate diagnosis from your Dr. That might help in selecting a formuls or food type item.
