I am actually posting this message for a friend of mine. She has a 15 month old son who has
been "head banging" (for lack of a better phrase) since he was about 10 months old. He does
this in his sleep and will bang his head against his crib. He is not hurting himself at all. She
has talked to the doctor about this several times and he says this is quite normal and he will
grow out of it. She and her husband are getting no sleep and they do not know what to do. While
their doctor says it is perfectly normal, etc....they would still like to know if there is something
they can do to prevent their son from doing this. Has anyone else experienced this? Does
anyone have advice on what I could tell my friend? Thanks for any and all suggestions.
