: Both my children (ages 14 and 11) recently had a nasty stomach virus. The first vomited and the second (3 days later) had diarreah. Both were sick for 4 days. They now have red streeks in the center corners of their eyes. Could this be from the virus? The second had high fever (103F), but we didn't check with the 14 year old (never seemed hot). They feel OK now, and I don't want to worry if it's not a problem, just seems unusally to me.....
Sometime after a virus where a child vomits and has a fever there can be a mild conjuctive redness from strain and just from being sick..As long as they are having no pain in the eye or itching or tearing,I would not worry to much..
If it continues for more than a week or so I would at least pass it by their doctor, but it sounds like a normal childhood reaction to a virus....
