FLu and cough

hi Sir/Mdm/Miss ,
i've been having flu and cough for the past 3 weeks .i've seen 2 doctors who have offered me antibiotics,
different types of cough syrups and flu medicine...but i have still not recovered.i cannot speak a complete
sentence bcos of my cough.the mucus and phlegm emitted are yellowish green.Some of my friends told
me to drink honey,not take citrus fruits as these would only worsen my phelgm.Some of my friends even
told me not to take chicken and cold water.I really need some advice about my diet and whether there is
any recommended medicine for thias cough.Thank you for the advice,
