: I'm 21yo and I have gynecomastia on the right pectoral muscle that now resembles a breast. I am really self concious and won't wear shirts that will reveal my uneven pec. I have a high self esteem about my life and body but this poses a problem on the ego sometimes. I thought that it was breast cancer.(thank God it wasn't). If anyone knows how to help or any advice please respond.

none that I know of sorry. Sometimes it will go away on it's own. I've heard of cortizone injections but can't see how that would help. Gyno surgery is not that bad so don't worry. Just make sure you go to a doc (Plastic Surgeon) who has done this procedure many times before. Gyno is almost never cancerous so if a doc wants to do a biopsy then let them do it on the tissue that is removed during your surgery. DO NOT go to a general practitioner for this. A friend of mine did this and ended up with a permanent defect from the biopsy that he did that there was no need for. Then had to go to a PS anyway. Good luck
