Hi, my name is david and I am 30 years old. I had a "touch up" lower blepharoplasty done 5 months ago on my left lower eyelid to remove some of the puffiness under the eye. I had both eyes done 5 years ago and decided to have a touch up done. Both muscle and fat were removed. When I had the operation done 5 years ago they healed very well and quickly but this time the 1 eye is puffy, red and the scar is still present after 5 1/2 months. I dont understand why when it healed so well the first. I had a different doctor do it because I had something eles done. I noticed that the scar(where the incision was made) is lower this time. Could that have made a difference? The doctor said that by Xmas it the puffiness should be gone,if it is fluid. But that if it is scar tissue he will remove it. I would like to know whether anyone has had this experience in which healing took more than 6 months. whether if puffiness under the eye is usually fluid, and whether it can take a year for the scar and redness to go away, like it did the first time? Thank you for your help. Thank you, David
