Thanks so much for the info Kerri.
When did you have your genioplasty done? It's strange that you still have the ear pain, I hope it finally goes away. You said you were not happy with it, have you had it redone? or did you put the implant since then? I'm also wondering what you ment by saying that it "looks funny". I was contemplating chin augumentation for a long time and thought that the genio looks more natural and is more stable than implant, but I have only seen pictures . Thanks again.

Hello,
: I had a genioplasty and was not happy with the results. In my opinion, they are outdated and a chin implant is much safer and easier.
: I was swollen for awhile. I could not leave the house for several weeks. I also had problems with my ear. The doctor must of did something. I still have sharp, ringing pain (like an ear infection).
: It will take awhile for the pain and swelling to go down but with a genioplasty, you will always have a strange look to your chin. It just looks funny. I've seen a few people with them and I don't find it attractive. It also changes the look of your lower lip (makes it flatter and rolled in).
: Good luck!

: : I had chin augumentation and endo brow lift 3 days ago. I'm VERY swollen around my eyes, cheeks, and lips are the worst. I don't have much pain from the brow lift but chin is very uncomfortable. I had a genioplasty done, instead of the implant. Genioplasty is when the bottom of your chin bone is actually cut and moved forward, it's more of a surgery but after it heals you don't have any implant material in your face. I would like to hear from enybody that had similar precidures, I'm specially interested in chin surgery. I'm having pain in one of my ears and it feels like ear infection but deep, not right on the outside of the ear, I'm wondering if it's normal? My face is also swollen more on one side(the one with ear pain) than the other? Is this normal? How long is the recovery for chin? I hate not be able to open my mouth and brush my teeth.
: : ANYBODY WITH CHIN SURGERY PLEASE LET ME KNOW HOW YOUR RECOVERY WENT, RESUTS ETC. PLEASE REPLY IF YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THIS, I NEED SOME INFO SO BAD!!!!
