: Thanks for the info, my doctor never said anything about stretching just that she would reinforce under the nipples to keep them from re-inverting.the main side effect she mentions is of course I couldn't breastfeed (but that wasn't a concern)after yours was done what were your side effects...(time down, soreness,or pain?)but most of all did you feel it was worth having it corrected??
: thanks for answering !!

I wish I had not lost sensation, but I still feel it was definitely worth it! It was quite a long time ago, so I don't really remember how long it took to heal, I think a couple of weeks, but I don't recall much pain. I do know that as it was healing the nipple was much bigger than the other one, and I was quite worried about the way it looked, but that went away after about a week or so. It just took a little time for the swelling to go away, and I think he "overcorrected" it to make sure it stayed out (which it did for a couple of years, as I said before). He said that this time he would cut the fibers that pull the nipple in, and also something about reinforcing under it to make it stay out. It sounds like what your doctor is going to do will work better than what mine did, and maybe you won't lose sensation? There is barely a tiny scar, just under the nipple, it isn't really noticeable.
