: : Has your ear cartalage reabsorbed or does it look like it did when you first got it?

: Hi Paloma,
: I've never heard of a person's body reabsorbing it's own cartilage....I only wish that my body would reabsorb my graft....it would save me alot of money and time!!! But, seriously, I've had my graft in for over 5 years, and it looks the same as it did after the 1st year. During the 1st year my nose was swollen, and I didn't really see the final result until after that 1st year. I wasn't terribly swollen, but just enough that it masked how the graft was going to eventually look.
: Needless to say...I am not happy with it, and am looking for someone to correct it.
: Keep in touch,
: Barbara

Barbara- What is a PECK Tip Graft that you referred to in an earlier post? I've heard of it (the surgeon is George Peck, I'm sure) but is it any different? Also, you mentioned (I think it was you) that both ears were used in your revision. What areas of your nose were built up in the revision, and were you pleased with everything else? What were the problems that were corrected? Thanks-
