: I am not sure which type of steroids they used on me, they just said anti-inflammatory, but I ended up with dents and lumps instead of swelling, a surgeon later told me they over injected me with steroids.
The only side affect doctors had mentioned to me was a possiblity of skin discoloration.
If I had known about the possibility of dents and lumps, I would have never consented to the steroid injections.
: Kenalog is normally used to "bring down the swelling" and prevent the build up of scar tissue. Use Kenalog conservatively!!! If overused, you can degrade the consistency of the surface skin and end up with a "dimpled" appearance (like cottage cheese).
: fyi, I had kenalog injected 3x in my tip area after rhino. I had no problems with it. However, an acquaintance of mine had it in other areas of her face to "bring down swelling" and now has cottage cheese all over her face.
