What no one realizes is that docs who aren't willing to be real healers are going into the practice of cosmetic surgery for the "quick-large buck". They can demand up front private payment and are subject to very low standards of liability should they not live up to their promises to their patients.
PS to Sarah: After reviewing your message, I noticed that you thought I too was residing in Dallas. Hence, I believe you have me confused with Paloma. I live in Miami, North Palm Beach, and Chicago. After having visited Dallas to meet the illustrious Dr. Gunter, I can honestly say I understand why anyone would reside in Dallas! To me a good sign of uncivilized society is the lack of real taxicabs... and as you know if you live in Dallas, Dallas only has "taxi-vans" which you have to phone for a pick-up. I don't think this system would work very well in the major metropolitan areas of the US like NYC, Chicago, Miami, LA, Atlanta, etc. I should have taken the lack of public transportation as a clue of the competence level of the medical professionals in the area....I could have saved myself 5 wasted days of BS interviews with self-important Texan plastic surgeons.
