: : My four month old son was diagnosed with cf at about two months of age. He has already been in two different hospitals and is facing a third for a long term stay. He is on a few different medications and has quite a few problems. His biggest problem is that he won't gain weight. He gains a few ounces and then loses them. If any one can help me by letting me know what i am facing please email me. I would love to hear from everyone. Thank You.
: My son was dianoised at 3 days of age. he underwent five surgeries on his intestines befor he was 6 months old. I tried eveything they told me to do to help him gain weight, but the only formuls that put weight on him was one can pet milk one cane condensed milk 1/4 cup karo syurp and four cans of water. whatever the amount of emzymes give him that plus half again.
ASK DOC.S ABOUT CALORIE AND CARB PRODUCTS TO ADD TO FORMULA. MY 16 MONTH OLD ADDS "DUOCAL" TO MILK AND FOOD.SEEMS TO BE HELPING HER GAIN. THE NUTRITIONIST AT CHILDRENS HOSPITAL OF PHILA. CF CENTER RECOMMENDED IT TO US.
