: : FOR YEARS I'VE HAD ALOT OF TROUBLES, YOU NAME IT !!
: : SEEN ALL THE DOCTOR'S IN THIS TOWN AND THEY ALL SAY IT'S A PANIC DISORDER !!! NOW I'M SEEING A NEW DOCTOR
: : AND HE TOOK A EKG AND SAID IT WASN'T RIGHT COME BACK IN 2 WEEKS AND I DID HE SAID THERE WAS SOMETHING BUT NOT TO BAD !??~ THEN HE ASK ME ABOUT MY FINGER NAILS AND I SAID THAT ALL THE DOCTORS ASK ME THAT BUT DO NOTHING SO HE WANTS TO TAKE A CF TEST !!??? I'M 32 HAS ANY ONE EVER HEARD OF THAT I THOUGHT IT WAS ONLY IN KIDS I NEED SOME ADVICE ...THANK YOU ALL..
: Our doc said that he's heard of a FEW cases of individuals diagnosed at later stages. I think one person was diagnosed older than you. Check on the CF website (www.cff.org)for a CF clinic near you and you could give them a call for information. Good Luck.
It must be a terrible blow to find out at this age that you may have a fatal inherited "childrens" disease. years ago when my oldest was about two (i have 2 daughters w/cf) our pulmonary specialist told us about a girl he had just diagnosed w/cf who was 26!! she had only been mildly affected and had told the doc that she was able to eat nothing but candy bars and steak due to her digestive disorder! if you do in fact find out that you have cf, keep in mind that you obviously have a VERY mild case of it so there is much HOPE!! Keep the faith!
