"Do his bowel movements float or sink"
I am 25 an I have CF. With CF, your body does not absorb the fats in food so the fat in the bowel movements makes them float. That is why most CF patients are underweight. I take a pill each time I eat to help me digest the foods I eat. If I do not take the pill and I eat fatty (fried) foods, then I go straight to the bathroom. Lack of fiber also makes your bowel movements float. Let me hear from you to see how the test went. Just remember, What ever the outcome, it is not the end of the world. I look at it as if there are alot of people (children) alot worst off than I am. I have always had a normal childhood. I took medicines and breathing treatments and now my only down-fall with CF is that it is hard for me to get pregnant....
Let me know...LIZ
