Hi your daughter must be a very strong girl to be able to handle the transplant. I know a girl who is 15 , she had a transplant also . I hope your daughter does very well. I also want to say you and your family are amazing to get through this. Good Luck to you and your family.
Mary: August 23, 1999, My daughter underwent a double lung transplant in ST. Louis MO. I gave part of my right lung and her mother gave part of her left lung. No media coverage was given to the wonderful event. my daughter is doing fine. Her friend Fondi just recently underwent the same operation and she received all types of media coverage. My daughter could care less if I was writing this to you guys. She is not looking for any special attention. My family and I just feel that she has been a real trooper throughout all of this. She is 15 years old and she graduated number two in her eight grade class at St.Andrews School here in Indianapolis. To us, that is a great accomplishment considering all of her obstacles that were in place. Ask around at Rileys Childrens Hospital, also here in Indianapolis, Everyone Knows Brandy. She is a inspiration to us all.
