Our new dr. does not use keflex for maintenance. I have been told studies are inconclusive as to whether there is a benefit to staying on this antibiotic year round vs. using it as needed. Has anyone else had a similar situation or familiar with this?
We have a boy who will be 4 on Sept 6th. Dylan had been on antibotics for maintenance quite a bit for first couple of years. Another Dr said it is not good to use them too much because later when they need them they will not work as well. For about the last year he has hardly been on them at all and doing fine. But keep a close eye on those colds. Hope this helps.
