I have developed pain on the side of one of my molars. I had a root canal on this tooth last March. When I press on the gum on the side of the tooth I can find a painful spot. It is starting to hurt bad all the time. I have no hot or cold sensitivity and can chew with no increase in pain. I had my teeth cleaned yesterday and the dentist said my gums looked very healthy. He took an x-ray which he said looked normal. Could this be a failed root canal? If so what are my options?
Thanks!!!
