Same thing happened to me---back tooth---had a root canal a few years ago---but always had a sensitive spot hi on the gum--real tender---doc said another rot canal wouldn't help--x-rays etc..looked fine--said that way the good Lord made me--sinuses wrapped around the tooth etc...anyway I talked him into another root canal try--just to see---but it did no good---recently had to get the tooth pulled....now pain free of course... also I should add--my dentist tried squirting medication in the tooth etc...everything--but nothing worked---extraction was the only option---darn sinuses..!!! : I have developed pain on the side of one of my molars. I had a root canal on this tooth last March. When I press on the gum on the side of the tooth I can find a painful spot. It is starting to hurt bad all the time. I have no hot or cold sensitivity and can chew with no increase in pain. I had my teeth cleaned yesterday and the dentist said my gums looked very healthy. He took an x-ray which he said looked normal. Could this be a failed root canal? If so what are my options?
: Thanks!!!
