Hi Brad,
Tooth was a bit achy but bearable in morning. Then I went to my general dentist. He checked the bite and bless him (!) , fixed it so it doesn't hit those spots that felt like "electricity". So now just sore pain when the teeth tap. He said that the nerve tips on the outside of teeth are very inflammed probably. Note: after he adjusted bite though the tooth got irritated and became very painful and unbearable again. My dentist was kind enough to get me a stronger prescription painkiller (Vicatin). I have to wonder why my endodontist refused to prescribe anything stronger than Motrin and why he said he couldn't fix the bite--my dentist did it well with a microscopic instrument. I would've thought to ask him to check it out if you hadn't rec'd it.

My question: given all the pain, and it's been considerable, can this root canal survive? Of course I want to hear yes but honestly is the amount of pain in any way related to r.c. failure or success?

Thanks much again, Brad. You will have good karma I'm sure :)
Kim
