Jen,
I don't think you should wait 2 weeks. I can think of very few things as painful as a toothache and especially one that makes your ear hurt.
Call the endo and see about having your appointment moved up sooner. If that doesn't work go back to your regular DDS and let him take a peek at what is going on. Plus sometimes if the DDS calls himself or someone from the office appointments can be moved up alot quicker! Found that out myself.
Also if it hurts again really bad you might want to try Ibuprofin and can take it every 4 to 6 hrs and can also take Tylenol in between if needed. That is safe but might hurt your stomach.
Also put an ice pack to the area that is hurting. Never heat. If it's a bad tooth or an abcess heat will act as a breeding ground for bacteria and will make it worse. Ice,ice, ice.
I am sure others here will have some ideas as well. Good luck and I totally relate to the pain. I have a toothache right now myself and they sure do hurt BAD!
Take Care!
