Sounds like you may be headed for a root canal, especially with the sensitivity to hot temps. Perhaps you have a condition called pulpititis where the nerve tissue is inflammed from all the work. Sometimes it heals, other times it doesn't and a root canal is needed. All depends on how long you want to live with the pain. After two months of excedrin, I would think more treatment is needed.
