: I'm 37 years old and I had 3 wisdom teeth out this past Wed. (June 14) under general anesthetic

: are telling me it shouldn't last this long. It's really bad today and ice packs just make it worse. The
I'm 25, and I just had 4 wisdom teeth removed on the 15th, and I still am experiencing pain, but
its not as bad as before. I still have difficulty opening my mouth, and blowing my nose is almost
impossible (I developped a bad cold after surgery =(. Anyway, I was told that you shouldn't
use ice after the first day, that heating pads should replace the ice after the second day.
Seeing as its already the 21st now, I'm sure its probably too late for that advice, your
pain has probably already disapeared.
Someone told me that "oil of cloves" can be used to help ease the pain locally in the mouth..
I haven't tried it yet, but I am thinking that I am going to go pick some up today... I try to avoid
taking so much pain medication whenever i can, since it is so hard on the stomach. My main
problem now is that I have this horrible cold as well as the pain, which is giving me these horrible
headaches... I just can't seem to concentrate on anything or get any work done.
I hope that we both start to feel better soon.
