Dana,
I had a root canal recently after not going to a dentist for 15 years. It was not nearly as bad as I heard.There was no pain,just a feeling of pressure. It was more that I had never had anything like that before.After the numbness wore off there was just minor soreness which Tylenol with codeine took care of. If you have a good caring dentist,you'll be fine.My dentist told me to signal him if I felt any pain and this was a relief. I was a major dental phobic,so if I did it you can too.
