As I sit here at 2:30 in the morning, I am in major pain. I'm popping Tylanol, applying Orajel and holding an ice bag to my right jaw. It's horrible. I only have 2 teeth that I can marginally eat with, so, my health is beginning to suffer too as I don't eat correctly. My work is beginning to be effected too. If you can't concentrate because of dental pain, you can't be effective. Living with this pain is just unbareable.
I know that I need to see a dentist and have all my teeth extracted (what few I have left) and dentures put in. My insurance will only pay about $1000.00 but my dentist says his estimate to extract all the teeth and the dentures will cost about $4-5000! I told him that I insist on being "put out" while the proceedure is done. That adds to the cost. I don't have the financial resources to support this kind of bill.
Taking out a loan is not an option. My credit history just won't support it. What is my options? The only thing that I can think of is to just live with it. I'd appreciate any suggestions.
