Yes indeed, I would be concerned. I have just
had an extraction also, and my surgeon (extraction
was done in a hospital) prescribed a week's course
of amoxycillin. I would
1) talk to your oral surgeon again
2) talk *immediately* to your primary care doctor
and get his or her opinion.
3) if your primary care doctor believes that
the oral surgeon has erred in not prescribing
antibiotics, get the PC doctor to prescribe them,
and CHANGE ORAL SURGEONS.
