Hi Bonnie: good to have you here on this board; I had a root canal 20 years ago on tooth number 29 or 30;
5 years ago an abscess developed and was treated at that tooth (either that or a root was cracked,
can't recall) anyway the endodontist took care of it; There wasn't much tooth left but it didn't hurt but the
dentist said it needed a new crown and also had more decay in it. So in Jan. of 2000 had it recrowned and
the tooth next to it also had a large filling; The dentist told me he was trying hard to save tooth #29 and
I want it saved. I had some pain for quite a while after all that work but the pain went away about 2 months
later. Well, the pain came back and when I was on vacation I went to a dentist in Sandiego(I live in suburbs
of Detroit) and he took an x-ray and couldn't find anything wrong; no abscess, no problem in that tooth
0r the teeth around it. so, what the heck could it be ? I am puzzled. the pain started about 2-3 weeks
ago and bothers me at night; not throbbing and comes and goes. What do you think? i am going to
go to the dentist but I am truly puzzled since noone can find anything wrong- thanks for your help
Marilyn
