: I haven't been to the orthodontics in about 6 years but I remember the last time that I went. The orthodontist told me that if I plan to get braces I'll have to remove all 4 wisdom teeth. Anyway, I was thinking of getting braces now ( I'm 22) and this sounds really really expensive. I'm just a part-time worker and I got to school part-time. Do they have dental plans for people like me? I can't afford the hundreds of dollars a month.

Most ortho offices require a down payment ,and then you make payments thruout the months of treatment. If you mean is there A insurance plan to purchase as a individual.none that wouldnt end up costing you more then the braces themselves. Check with your employment thougthey might have a dental plan that you can sign up with , and that would be less expensvie.
