I had a temporary crown put on one week ago. Although the dentist did most of the preparation the dental hygenist actually put the temporary crown on. I returned two days later in excruciating pain. I could not bite down at all. Actually, it didn't hurt so much when I bit down as it did when I released. He took the temporary crown off, said the bite was off, worked some more on it, then put it back on. That was five days ago and the pain is almost unbearable. Now it is a constant ache and throbbing. I've been living on motrin. What should I do and why am I having so much pain?
