Hi, I had a permanent bridge installed on the bottom left side of my mouth in the beginning of August 2000. Recently about a week I have a slight pain in the last tooth where the bridge is it is almost like a tingling burning sensation. I visited my dentist this past Saturday and he checked it out and did a little drilling on the last tooth. He precribed pennicillin for a 5 day period. I was just wondering could there be something wrong with the bridge? It was fine until last week. I asked the dentist on Saturday about the tooth under the bridge which was a completed root canal. Could the tooth with the root canal be causing the problem? He took x-rays and said the bridge looks fine but I know my mouth and it feels uncomfortable where as earlier I did not even feel the bridge now I can tell that the bridge is there almost like it is bringing attention to itself. He also used a floss threader and said nothing was stuck under it as well. He said I should give it a week, does this make sense?

Regards,
rb
